Open access journal

This journal is a peer reviewed, subsidized open access journal where the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics (Sociedade Brasileira de Pediatria, SBP) pays for most of the publishing costs incurred by the journal.

Authors of articles submitted as of September 1, 2018, which are accepted for publication in the Jornal de Pediatria, will be required to pay a publication fee to the SBP in order to share the publication costs. By submitting the manuscript to this journal, the authors agree to these terms.

Processing fees

  • If one of the authors is Brazilian and a member of the SBP: R$ 1.500,00 per accepted manuscript
  • If one of the authors is Brazilian but not a member of the SBP: R$ 2.200,00 per accepted manuscript
  • If the authors are not Brazilian: USD 1.000,00 per accepted manuscript

Once the manuscript has been approved, the corresponding author will receive the instructions for the payment of the publication fee. Thereafter, the corresponding author will receive the proof of payment to be able to apply for funding agencies reimbursement. For more information, please contact assessoria@jped.com.br.
