SNIP measures contextual citation impact by weighting citations based on the total number of citations in a subject field.
SCImago Journal Rank (SJR): 1.618 SCImago Journal Rank (SJR):
SJR is a prestige metric based on the idea that not all citations are the same. SJR uses a similar algorithm as the Google page rank; it provides a quantitative and a qualitative measure of the journal’s impact.
Impact Factor: 4.396 (2016) Impact Factor:
The Impact Factor measures the average number of citations received in a particular year by papers published in the journal during the two preceding years.

Description

Electrochemistry Communications is a letters journal providing fast dissemination of short communications covering the whole field of electrochemistry. Electrochemistry Communications seeks to provide rapid publication of important and urgent communications and short papers across the broad spectrum of electrochemical research. We aim to be the fastest journal in electrochemistry - see the Journal Insights below for data.

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following topics:

  • Fundamental electrochemistry
  • Electrode reaction mechanisms
  • Computational and theoretical electrochemistry
  • Properties of interfaces
  • Electrochemical surface science
  • Batteries and power sources
  • Organic and organometallic electrochemistry
  • Bioelectrochemistry
  • Spectroelectrochemistry and sonoelectrochemistry.

The journal welcomes papers of general or specialist importance which merit rapid publication to a wide audience. However papers primarily devoted to materials or to analysis are probably best directed towards journals which focus on these areas. Electrochemistry Communications does not publish special issues.

Authors are encouraged to first submit their paper as a short communication to Electrochemistry Communications (EC), after which an extended version of the paper may then be submitted to a full-length journal such as Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry (JEC). If one wishes to follow this route please inform the Editor of JEC of the previous publication in EC upon submission of the paper to JEC, and ensure the full-length paper expands sufficiently on the ideas and material given in the published short communication. Acceptance of the paper in JEC will remain at the discretion of the JEC Editor handling the paper.

All papers should be submitted via the journal's online submission system which can be accessed at http://ees.elsevier.com/elecom. Accepted papers will appear in electronic form on ScienceDirect within six to eight weeks of their receipt by the editor.
Please note that International Society of Electrochemistry members have the option to purchase a personal printed or electronic subscription to Electrochemistry Communications at a discounted rate.
