Jon Duke, MD, MS, is Chief Innovation Officer at Regenstrief Institute, Director of Regenstrief Institute’s Drug Safety Informatics Lab, and an Assistant Professor Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He also leads the Merck-Regenstrief Program in Healthcare Research and Innovation, a collaboration seeking to improve the health of patients through data analytics, health care innovation, education and research that supports evidence-based health care. In his current roles, he leads initiatives to use clinical data to inform personalized delivery of health care. Duke’s primary research focus is on decision support in medication safety, with a particular emphasis on evaluation of adverse drug events and drug-drug interactions in complex multi-drug regimens. His other area of research is electronic health record usability, and he is leading user interface development for Regenstrief's new computerized physician order entry platform. Duke received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School.
