Formosan Journal of Surgery
Formosan Journal of Surgery (FJS) was launched in 1968 as Taiwan Journal of Surgery, changing to its current title 1999. It is the official journal of the Taiwan Surgical Association (TSA) and publishes new findings in research and clinical surgery to improve treatment with topics spanning all surgery-related fields, including but not limited to, thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, digestive surgery, neurosurgery, endocrine surgery, pediatric surgery, plastic surgery and orthopedic surgery.
The FJS is an open access journal published bimonthly by Elsevier and is indexed in ScienceDirect, Scopus, Academic Citation Index (ACI) and Taiwan Academic Online (TAO). Review articles, original articles, mini-review articles, case reports, surgeon at work, images for surgeons, meeting reports, short communications, letters to the editor and correspondence are accepted.
The Taiwan Surgical Association was founded in 1967 with about 400 members, when it was known as the Surgical Society, Republic of China. It changed to its current name in 2001 and has has grown steadily to its current membership of more than 5000. The main aim of the TSA is to promote research in surgical science and ethics, and encourage the exchange of ideas and sharing of research between the local and international academic communities.Benefits to authors
