User Rights

All articles published open access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read, download, copy and distribute. Permitted reuse is defined by the following user license:

Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND): for non-commercial purposes, lets others distribute and copy the article, and to include in a collective work (such as an anthology), as long as they credit the author(s) and provided they do not alter or modify the article.

If you need to comply with your funding body policy you can apply for the CC BY license after your manuscript is accepted for publication.

Open Access Publication Fee

As an open access journal with no subscription charges, a fee is payable by the author or research funder to cover the costs associated with publication. This ensures your article will be immediately and permanently free to access by everyone. The National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries charges an open access fee of USD 300 excluding taxes (also known as an article processing charge APC) that should be transferred via Western Union service or MoneyGram service to the name of an editorial member. The details of the receiver will be forwarded to you later. However, as a journal under the responsibility of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF, a governmental institution), Egyptian researchers who work in NIOF only pay the amount of USD 200. The remaining USD 100 is paid by the NIOF as a way to encourage and help NIOF's researchers to publish their work in an international journal such as EJAR.
Please note that bank account transfer is not a valid option, we only use Western Union service (WU) or MoneyGram service (MG), so please before approving payment, check with your institution's administration if they accept such method of payment in order to avoid any delays after the acceptance of your manuscript.

Funding Body Agreements

Elsevier has established agreements with funding bodies, including Wellcome Trust and Research Councils UK. This ensures authors can comply with funding body open access policies and may also be reimbursed for their publication fees.

For open access publishing this journal uses an exclusive licensing agreement. Authors will retain copyright alongside scholarly usage rights and Elsevier will be granted publishing and distribution rights.
