Professor Xinwen Guo received his Ph.D. degree in Industrial Catalysis from Dalian University of Technology (DUT), in 1994, and he joined the same University and was promoted to full professor in 2001. After one year in Penn State University as a visiting Professor, he joined DUT again in 2002. He was the Vice Dean of School of Chemical Engineering of DUT form 2005-2010 and the Dean from 2010-2015, and is now the Vice Dean of Faculty of Chemical, Environmental and Biological Science and Technology, DUT. His research interests are mainly focused on the catalytic conversion of carbon dioxide and molecular sieve catalysis. He is the author or co-author of more than 270 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 30 patents. He has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003. He is an Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of Catalysis, Acta Petrolei Sinica (Petroleum Processing Section) and Chemical Engineering and Technology.
