Professor Longya XU received his MS degree in 1988 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and joined DICP where he was promoted to a full professor in 1996. After he received his Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from DICP，CAS in 1998, he was delegated to Hokkaido University (Japan) as a visiting professor from 1999 to 2000 and in 2006. He was the Leader of General Utilization of Light Hydrocarbon and Zeolite Catalytic Materials Group. His research interests are mainly focused on synthesis of molecular sieve catalytic materials, catalytic transformation and high-efficient utilization of hydrocarbons, production of bulk chemicals, fine chemicals and high-quality clean fuels. He is the author or co-author of more than 320 peer-reviewed scientific publications and 120 patents.
Professor Longya XU has won many important awards, such as the National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, Outstanding Patent Award of China(for two times), Industry-university-research Cooperation Innovation Award of China(for two times), Scientific and Technological Promotion and Development Award of CAS, etc.
