The Brazilian Journal of Infectious Diseases is a fully open access journal. Once published, your article will be immediately and permanently available for readers to read, download, and share. Readers will be able to access your article freely on ScienceDirect.

Open Access Publication Fee

The article publishing charge (APC) that authors, their institutions or funding bodies pay, covers all expenses needed to support the publication process. The APC to publish a paper in the Brazilian Journal of Infectious Diseases is USD 1,500 for original and review articles, and USD 600 for case reports, short communications, clinical images and letters.
Once the manuscript has been approved, the corresponding author will receive the instructions for the payment of the publication fee.

Author rights

Upon acceptance of an article, authors will be asked to complete a 'Journal Publishing Agreement'. Acceptance of the agreement will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. Copyright will be transferred to the society if the manuscript is accepted for publication. Permission of the society is required for resale or distribution outside the institution and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included, the author(s) must obtain written permission from the copyright owners and credit the source(s) in the article.
