Professor Jacqueline Leta, Associate Professor, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro

Since 1994, Jacqueline Leta has conducted research in the field of Bibliometrics / Scientometrics, with emphasis on the analysis of Brazilian scientific production, focusing on the themes Science and Health and Science and Gender. She was a researcher at the Research Dept. of USP (2000 to 2002), member of the Permanent Commission of Indicators of S & T, MCT (2003) and member of the Evaluation Committee of the Research Groups Directory in Brazil (2010). She is a member of the editorial board of national and international magazines.

Since 2015, she has been a member of the editorial board of the Annals of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. Member of the Executive Committee of the International Society of Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) from 2013 to 2017, organized the 1st Brazilian Meeting on Bibliometrics and Scientometrics in 2008 and the International Conference on Scientometrics and Informetrics in 2009, both in Rio de Janeiro.

She held a post-doctorate at Univ Católica de Leuven in 2005, under the coordination of Dr. Glanzel. In 2015, she was elected coordinator of the Graduate Program in Information Science, an IBICT-UFRJ agreement, in which she has been a permanent teacher since 2009. She is currently head of the Education, Management and Dissemination in Sciences Program of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry.
