Current Opinion in Plant Biology

Current Opinion in Plant Biology: The Current Opinion journals were developed out of the recognition that it is increasingly difficult for specialists to keep up to date with the expanding volume of information published in their subject. In Current Opinion in Plant Biology, we help the reader by providing in a systematic manner:

- the views of experts on current advances in plant biology in a clear and readable form
- evaluations of the most interesting papers, annotated by experts, from the great wealth of original publications.

Related journals

Current Plant Biology

Current Plant Biology aims to acknowledge and encourage interdisciplinary research in fundamental plant sciences. It will publish original research papers and method papers in plant research fields such as systems biology, cell biology, genetics, epigenetics, mathematical modeling, omics, signal transduction, plant-microbe interactions, synthetic biology, developmental biology, biochemistry, bioinformatics research, and big data in plant biology. High-quality review articles are also welcome.

Plant Gene

Plant Gene publishes papers that focus on the regulation, expression, function and evolution of genes in plants, algae and other photosynthesizing organisms (e.g., cyanobacteria), and plant-associated microorganisms.

Plant Gene strives to be a diverse plant journal and topics in multiple fields will be considered for publication.

developmental Biology

Developmental Biology publishes original research on mechanisms of development, differentiation, and growth in animals and plants at the molecular, cellular, genetic and evolutionary levels. Areas of particular emphasis include transcriptional control mechanisms, embryonic patterning, cell-cell interactions, growth factors and signal transduction, and regulatory hierarchies in developing plants and animals. Read the Special Issue on Plant Development , edited by Vivian Irish and Daniel Chitwood, published in November 2016.

Mechanisms of Development

Mechanisms of Development communicates current studies in developmental biology in any model system like animals and plants; these may focus on molecular and/or cellular mechanisms. MOD is the official journal of the International Society of Developmental Biologists which supports the world-wide community of developmental biologists.

Gene Expression Patterns

Gene Expression Patterns is devoted to the rapid publication of high quality studies of gene expression in development. Studies using cell culture are also suitable if clearly relevant to development, e.g., analysis of key regulatory genes or of gene sets in the maintenance or differentiation of stem cells. Key areas of interest include: In-situ studies such as expression patterns of important or interesting genes at all levels, including transcription and protein expression; Temporal studies of large gene sets during development and Transgenic studies to study cell lineage in tissue formation.
