Dr.S.Venkata Mohan is currently Scientist in the Bioengineering and Environmental Sciences of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad. He worked as AvH fellow at Technical University of Munich, Germany and Visiting Professor at Kyoto University, Japan. His honors and awards include Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar (SSB) Prize for Science and Technology in Engineering Sciences (SSB), National Bioscience Award (DBT, Government of India), Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Fellowship, Prosper.net-Scopus Young Researcher Award in Sustainable Development -2010’ under Energy Category (United Nations University and Elsevier), NASI-Scopus Young Scientist Award- 2010’ in Earth, Oceanographic & Environmental Sciences (NASI and Elsevier), Nawab Zain Yar Jung Bahadur Memorial Prize-1994), among others. Dr.Mohan’s main research interests are in the domain of Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology specifically in the areas of Biohydrogen, microbial electrochemical technologies, Waste Biorefinery, Advance Treatment Methods, Biobased products and photosynthetic fuels. He has authored about 280 research articles, 30 chapters for books and has 9 patents. His publications have so far received more than 8550 citations, and have an h-index of 51 (Google Scholar). He has guided 19 PhDs., 2 M.Phils and more than 50 M.Tech./B.Tech./M.Sc. students.
