Yong Keun Chang, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) / Advanced Biomass R&D Center (ABC), Republic of Korea
Yong Keun Chang is a professor in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) and the director of ABC (Advanced Biomass R&D Center), which is a key microalgae-based biorefinery research center supported by the South Korean Government . He joined KAIST as a faculty member in 1988 and since then he has published about 230 peer-reviewed journal articles. He served as President of The Korean Society for Biotechnology and Bioengineering in 2012. He is now serving as President of The Korean Society for Microbiology and Biotechnology. He received B.S. from Seoul National University, M.S. from KAIST, and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Purdue University, USA.
