Talk: Chemistry and biology of glycosylation

Winner of the Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Synthesis

Chi-Huey Wong has been a professor at The Scripps Research Institute since 1989 and is currently the Scripps Family Chair Professor of Chemistry. He received his BS and MS from National Taiwan University and PhD from MIT.

He is a recipient of the ACS Arthur C Cope Award, the Wolf Prize in Chemistry, the Welch Award, and the Tetrahedron Prize, and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the US National Academy of Sciences. He is interested in developing new methods to study biological glycosylation and to target cancer and viral infection with universal vaccines. ( in new tab/window))
