Support for Authors

The Author Hub can help you answer the questions you receive from authors submitting to your journal. With step-by-step guidance on how to get an article published and noticed, and the latest information on open access and Elsevier policies, this is the place to find all the information authors need.

The Elsevier Publishing Campus provides training and guidance to early career researchers on all aspects of publishing. Authors can benefit from lectures, interactive training and professional advice on a wide range of topics.

Open access

There are a number of ways authors can make their research open access when submitting and publishing in Elsevier journals – for details, visit the open access pages.

Get Noticed!

You can help authors make an impact with the research they publish in your journal by encouraging them to promote their articles. Elsevier offers guidance and support with its Get Noticed campaign. You can also encourage authors to make use of Elsevier’s Content Innovations, including AudioSlides, to enrich their articles and reach new audiences.

Mendeley Stats

Knowing the impact of their research can be invaluable when authors are applying for funding, seeking a new position or working towards a promotion. Mendeley Stats helps authors understand in greater detail and with greater speed how their publications are being read, shared and cited. A free service that replaces Usage Alert, CiteAlert and MyResearchDashboard. Mendeley Stats is available to all Elsevier authors and authors who have an article on Scopus or Mendeley.
