About the Editors

Nadeem Khan

Nadeem A Khan is working as Assistant Professor and currently acting as an Academic Coordinator in the Department of Civil Engineering since 2012 and 2019 respectively. Presently he is pursuing his PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He also acted as Academic Coordinate of the Civil Engineering department from 2014 to 2017. His recent accomplishments included 15 Coursera course completion certificates and awarded as Best Young Scientist Award(Male) by LWT India and GECL for Scientific contribution in the field of Environmental Engineering. He received his M. TECH. (Civil Engineering) in 2011 with Honors in Environmental Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. Mr Khan was associated with the Ministry of Environment and Forest for two years as Junior Research Fellow (J.R.F) in 2009-11 and also worked with UNICEF as a Research Assistant (R.A) on the topic of GIS mapping and Water quality parameter estimation including monitoring of Agra Region for six months in 2012.

Afzal Khan

Afzal Husain Khan is currently working as a lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia. Previously, he has also served as an in-charge of the Environmental Engineering section, Integral University, India. He received B.E in Civil Engineering and M.Tech degrees in Environmental Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University, India. Khan does research in water, wastewater, and solid waste. He is also involved in durability and strength studies of HSC and SCC concrete in an ambient environment. His recent articles published in prestigious peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Cleaner Production (Elsevier) and Recent Trends in Analytical Chemistry which are based on treatment technologies for hospital wastewater treatment. His current project is to assess the different treatment technologies in treating hospital wastewater.

Mu. Naushad

Dr. Mu. Naushad is working as a Full Professor in the Department of Chemistry, College of Science, King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D Degree in Analytical chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India in 2002 and 2007, respectively. He has a vast research experience in the fields of Analytical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry and Environmental Science. He has successfully run several research projects funded by National plan for Science, Technology and Innovation (NPST) and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is the editor/editorial member of several reputed Journals like Scientific Report (Nature); Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier); Journal of Water Process Engineering (Elsevier) and International Journal of Environmental Research & Public Health (MDPI). He has been awarded the Scientist of the year award-2015 from National Environmental Science Academy, Delhi, India and Almarai Award-2017, Saudi Arabia.

Hamidi Abdulaziz

Hamidi Abdul Aziz is a professor in environmental engineering in the School of Civil Engineering of Universiti Sains Malaysia. Professor Aziz received his PhD degree in civil engineering (environmental engineering) from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland in 1992. He is a guest editor of the special issue on landfill leachate management and control of the International Journal of Environment and Waste Management (IJEWM). Professor Aziz currently serves as the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Scientific Research in Environmental Sciences (IJSRES). He also serves as the managing editor of the International Journal of Environment and Waste Management, IJEWM and the International of Journal of Environmental Engineering, IJEE. Professor Aziz's research focuses on alleviating problems associated with water pollution issues from industrial wastewater discharges and from solid waste management via landfilling, such as landfill leachate. Advanced oxidation processes is also one of his research focuses. In addition, he has strong interest in biodegradation and bioremediation of oil spills
