Stimuli Responsive Polymeric Membranes explains the fundamentals and advances in topics related to the field of membrane science. It elaborately explains concepts related to stimuli responsive membranes and its importance is given to the minute details. Material selection, preparation, characterization and applications of various stimuli responsive membranes are addressed extensively. The relevance of these membranes to various industries is reported by providing examples of membranes developed worldwide. The authors by the virtue of their expertise utilized the stimuli responsive membranes to address issues related to different industries.
The book starts with the history and development; merits and demerits; mechanisms of transport and fouling; membranes applicability to various diverse areas; preparation and characterization techniques of membranes. Then the concept of fouling and its remedial actions is discussed. Finally, present promising fields of research in the membrane science and future perspectives of membrane science field are presented.
