About the Editors

Mallappa Kumara Swamy

Mallappa Kumara Swamy, PhD, completed his Postdoctoral Research at the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), from 2014-2018. He has more than 16 years of teaching and research experience in the fields of plant biotechnology, secondary metabolites production, phytochemistry and bioactive studies. Dr. Swamy has published more than 100 research publications in peer- reviewed journals, 25 book chapters and has edited 10 books with reputed international publishers. His research focuses on the area of natural products, plant cell, tissue culture technology for bioactive compounds production and evaluation of their bioactivities, and nanobiotechnology for medical applications.

T. Pullaiah

T. Pullaiah
Prof. T.Pullaiah has retired from active service in 2011 and then was UGC-BSR Faculty Fellow in the Department of Botany, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur, India. He has published 75 books, 330 research papers, and 35 popular articles. He was the President of Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy (2013) and the President of the Indian Botanical Society (2014). He has been a member of Species Survival Commission of International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).

Zhe-Sheng Chen

Zhe-Sheng Chen, PhD, opened the St. John’s University’s first cancer pharmacology laboratory. His research interest is multidrug resistance and its reversal, novel anti-cancer drug development. Chen has over 170 papers published, co-edited Protein Kinase Inhibitors as Sensitizing Agents for Chemotherapy book (Elsevier), and holds 5 patents.
