About the Author
Yaser Dahman
Dr. Yaser Dahman has research focus on several emerging areas of technology in the fields of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, with special interest in Biomedical Engineering. He has commissioned a state-of-the-art research facility at Ryerson to conduct his research projects, which were funded by several agencies including Ryerson University, NSERC and Ministry of Agriculture Canada.
Dr. Dahman has long experience in developing medical devices for the health care industry, such as developing and testing novel wound dressing materials for chronic wounds. His is currently working on designing and synthesizing novel nano-structured biomaterials with focus on improving health care industry.
In the past five years, Dr. Dahman has supervised nearly 20 graduate student theses projects, and published several peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference proceedings. His research team has participated in several national and international conferences in addition to local and regional meetings.
