"Dr. Prabha Sawant is serving as Professor and Head, Department of Gastroenterology, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion, Mumbai. She has 24 years of rich experience in teaching gastroenterology in Mumbai University. Dr. Sawant has presented her papers in several national and international conferences. She has more than 100 articles in both national and international journals to her credit. She is the governing council member of various well-known societies like Indian Society of Gastroenterology, and Indian Association for the Study of the Liver. She has been honored with many prestigious awards—Young Investigator Award, Best Paper Award at MAPICON. She was Organizing Secretary of 47th Indian Society of Gastroenterology conference (ISGCON) 2006 held at Mumbai. Dr.
Sawant’s focus of research includes Alcoholic Hepatitis, Portal Hypertension, and H. pylori."
