Thomas McKeag has been Executive Director of the Center for Green Chemistry since January 2016, following a year as Program Director for the center from 2015-2016. With highly interdisciplinary research interests focused particularly on topics relating to biomimicry, he has taught on various aspects of bioinspired design since 2006, including running a number of innovation studio courses, field programs and seminars. Thomas is the co-founder and editor of the award-winning Zygote Quarterly digital magazine, has written a regular column on Biomimicry for Greenbiz since 2009, and is Founder and President of California public benefit corporation BioDreamMachine. He also has extensive professional design and planning experience,and has been a guest speaker at events around the globe.
