Description

As operations become more complex, today’s oil and gas engineers face a continued need for better understanding of reservoir recovery yet properties and relations of surface interaction such as wettability of the reservoir rock is still not well understood in currently published resources. Gas Wettability of Reservoir Rock Surfaces with Porous Media collects all the critical information on this complex topic so that engineers can better face technical field challenges when it comes to oil and gas recovery. Gas wettability of oil and gas reservoir rock surfaces has tremendous influence on oil and gas production, especially in today’s unconventional oil and gas resources so in order to economically exploit these reservoirs, new methods and technologies are needed, with gas wettability as a proven research area to enhance the efficiency of reservoirs. Combining both theoretical and practical knowledge, this concise reference bridges together the basic concepts and factors affecting gas wettability then goes on to elaborate on polymer-type gas wetting reversal agents in more technical detail. Discussing gas wettability’s influence on capillary force, oil-water distribution, and gas wettability’s application in petroleum engineering operations from both domestic and international projects, Gas Wettability of Reservoir Rock Surfaces with Porous Media delivers the critical concepts, methods, mechanisms, and practical technology needed for today’s complex oil and gas assets.
