Dr. Daniela Palacios, PhD, is the Director of the Epigenetics and Signal Transduction Laboratory at Fondazione Santa Lucia in Rome, Italy. Her research focuses on the epigenetic mechanisms governing skeletal muscle regeneration in physiological and pathological conditions. Research in Dr. Palacios’ lab is funded by national and international funding agencies, including the Italian Ministry of Health, the WorldWide Cancer Research association, the French Association against Myopathies, the Italian Association for Cancer Research and the Horizon2020 program. She has authored several peer-reviewed articles and reviews on the subject of epigenetics and regeneration, including a chapter in Medical Epigenetics. In the past, she has participated as editor and guest editor to several journals within the fields of epigenetics, development and genomics. In addition, Dr. Palacios has taught extensively in the field.
