Dimitris Mourtzis

Dimitris Mourtzis is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics, Laboratory for Manufacturing Systems and Automation (LMS) of the University of Patras, Greece. He is an elected Fellow of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP), member of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) Manufacturing Modelling for Management and Control and member of the International Federation of Information Processing IFIP Advances in Production Management Systems, and member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). His research mainly focuses in the area of manufacturing systems, automation, virtual and augmented reality in manufacturing, robotics, manufacturing processes and engineering education though leading teaching factory initiates.
