About the Editors

Sanket Joshi

Dr. Sanket Joshi is a Deputy Director, Oil & Gas Research Center, and an Application Specialist, at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. He holds a PhD in Microbiology. Dr. Joshi has 16 years of academic teaching and research experience, and 4 years of industrial R&D experience. His current research interests encompass: Energy; Microbial products and Since he joined SQU, his research team has received over 4.28 million USD in research grants and service contracts, and established bioproducts for petroleum and environmental applications. He has 152 scientific publications as papers in international journals, book chapters, conference proceedings, international books, and one Australian Innovation Patent application to his credit.

Prashant Jadhawar

Prashant Jadhawar has more than 15 years’ experience of teaching in academia and working in the oil and gas industry in UK, Germany, Australia and India. His expertise areas are: Enhanced Oil and Gas Recovery, CO2 sequestration combined with EOR/EGR, Reservoir Modelling and Simulation, Reservoir fluid characterization/PVT phase behavior (including CO2-Oil interactions) and flow assurance (hydrate, wax and Asphaltenes). He has published around 18 technical papers and written several technical reports. Prior to the University of Aberdeen, Prashant had been a senior reservoir Engineer EOR (R&D) at Wintershall Holding GmBH, Germany. Prashant holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Adelaide, Australia; Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) & Master of Engineering (MEng) in Petroleum Engineering, both from the University of Pune, India; and a Master of Philosophy degree in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK. He is also a fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA), UK since 2012.

Asheesh Kumar

Dr. Asheesh Kumar is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Western Australia’s School of Mechanical & Chemical Engineering. Additionally, he is working as a visiting scientist at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO), Western Australia. He received his M.Tech. degree in 2010 and Ph.D. degree in 2016 at Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India and CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune, India, respectively. He continued his research at National University of Singapore as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering Department (2016 to 2018). His broad research focus is on Energy, Environment and Sustainability. He is a recipient of Best Research Scholars: NCL RF-Keerti Sangoram Memorial Endowment Award for the year 2016 given by National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India. He has published 30 peer reviewed high impact articles, one book chapter and filed 4 patents with 1 granted.
