Series: Colloquia Mathematica Societatis Janos Bolyai

The Hungarian Mathematical Society bearing the name of János Bolyai (1802-1860) - one of the creators of Non-Euclidean Geometry - has been organizing international conferences for over twenty years.

The results presented at the top-level mathematical gatherings are recorded in this series. Each volume forms a state-of-the-art survey of its subject.

Areas covered so far include mathematical logic, set theory, combinatorics, algebra, number theory, function theory, differential equations, geometry and topology.

Book Series: Theory of Radicals

Most recent volume

Volume . Theory of Radicals

Published: 4th June 1993 Editors: L. Márki R. Wiegandt
Radicals arose originally from structural investigations in rings, but later on they infiltrated into various branches of algebra, as well as into topology and relational structures. This volume is the result of a conference attended by mathematicians from all five continents and thus represents the current state of research in the area.
