A must read not just for EH&S professionals
Having started my career in the process industry, the importance of EH&S was drilled deep into my understanding of plant operation. Due to unfortunate accidents, the struggle to “allow everybody do go unharmed home after a day’s work” was also made very clear. Bringing meaningful data into safety and hazard systems and making them available as information is often difficult due to the complexity we face. The authors did manage to describe a very comprehensive, detailed and on real live based approach. Who manages to combine legacy experience with new approaches now possible due to Smart Technology. And here the book actually also becomes valuable for everybody who is not directly involved with EH&S. Because the book also manages to provide a comprehensive high level overview of the topic of Industry 4.0. Which means that everybody who would like to gain a first understanding of Industry 4.0, is well served by this book. I can only recommend this book to any EH&S professional and anybody interested in Industry 4.0.
