About the MATLAB figure viewer
The MATLAB Figure Viewer allows authors to include MATLAB figures with their article. These figures contain experimental data, numerical results, visualizations by a model, or other kinds of data-based, visual research output.
The author submits files in the FIG format. This format captures not only the visual information but also the underlying data. This allows readers to view a figure at maximum accuracy at all levels of zoom and from all viewpoints and, if the reader has MATLAB installed, to download the data for validation or re-use.

Creating your file
Our MATLAB Figure Viewer puts some limitations on FIG files. For example, it does not support GUI elements like, for example, buttons requiring user input. Testing your file
As our MATLAB Figure Viewer puts some limitations to FIG files, it is essential to verify how your files will display online using our online validation tool. Reviewers can use the same tool to inspect files for reviewing purposes.
Submitting your file
Please submit your file along with your manuscript. In EES, FIG files can be uploaded in the supplementary data section. In the dropdown menu, please indicate that this is a file for the MATLAB Figure Viewer.
