Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) app

About the Gene Expression Omnibus app

The Gene Expression Omnibus automatically identifies all GEO accession numbers mentioned in the article, displaying a summary overview for each data entry.

Benefits for authors and readers:

  • The genomic information is shown in the article with a link to the complete GEO record, giving the reader easy access to additional relevant information about the content of the article and expanding the possibilities of research.
  • Gene Expression Omnibus identifies the GEO accession numbers automatically in the text, so the author does not need to do any extra work to display the overviews.

Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) is a public functional genomics data repository supporting MIAME-compliant data submissions. It accepts array- and sequence-based data and offers tools to help users query and download experiments and curated gene expression profiles.

The Gene Expression Omnibus was developed in collaboration with the National Center for Biotechnology and Information (NCBI).
