E lsevier is delighted to announce the winner of the Maxim Tarasenko essay competition for 2007. The winning entry is by Masahiko Fukushima of the International Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University, The Netherlands. The paper, Legal analysis of the International Space Station (ISS) programme using the concept of “legalisation”, appears in the February 2008 issue of Space Policy, Volume 24, Issue 1.
