PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICE OF SKIN EXCISIONS
Principles and Practice of Skin Excisions
By

G.B.E. Jemec, Department of Dermatology, Bispebjerg Hospital and Rigshospitalet, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark

Description
Skin surgery is a rapidly expanding field, partly due to the current epidemic of skin cancers, and partly due to increased demand in the population. These developments have meant that a large number of physicians with diverse training are involved in skin surgery, e.g. general practitioners, dermatologists, general surgeons, ophthalmologists, etc.

This book will guide the reader through most of the diagnostic or therapeutic excisions of skin in such a way as to provide optimum results for the patients. In addition to a highly didactic structure which allows a quick review of the special aspects of the anatomical region involved, the book gives an overview of the background which will help the non-expert reader feel confident about the relevant underlying principles.

Principles and Practice of Skin Excisions should be of immediate interest to: dermatologists, ophthalmologists, ENT-specialists, general practitioners, and doctors training in these fields or in surgical specialities.
