RESEARCH IN HUMAN CAPITAL AND DEVELOPMENT

Series edited by
Alan Sorkin , University of Maryland Baltimore County, Baltimore, MD, USA

Description
The purpose of the series Research in Human Capital and Development is to consider an issue of fundamental importance in economics, as well as other social science disciplines--the association between the creation and utilization of human capital and the process of economic and social change. The objective is to develop RHCD into a forum for both theoretical and empirical research that includes these two basic elements of the development of human populations. While most studies focus on economic issues, contributions from other social scientists are welcomed and research submissions of an interdisciplinary nature are encouraged.

Five major areas related to human capital and development constitute the emphasis of this series. These are: health; fertility; education and manpower; migration; the tradeoff between efficiency and equity in the production of social services.
