This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved both by the scope and
structure of the journal, key features of which are:
• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other bibliographic data)
from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.
• The arrangement, within each issue, of abstracts
into separate chapters devoted to a specific topic. The journal covers all aspects of clinical and experimental pharmacology, methodology
and studies on the pharmacokinetics and mechanism of action of exogenous substances. Studies on specific drugs and agents as well as
their affect on particular organs and organ systems are extensively covered. Studies relating exclusively to environmental and occupational
health are excluded but are covered in Section 46: Environmental Health and Pollution Control and in Section 35: Occupational Health
and Industrial Medicine. For toxicological information consult Section 52: Toxicology.
• Detailed author and keyword indexes to
allow the reader to locate items of special interest.
