Articles for TIG are generally invited by the Editor but proposals for articles
are welcome. Prospective authors should send
a brief summary, citing key references, to:
The Editor Trends in Genetics 84 Theobalds Road London UK WC1X 8RR
who will supply guidelines
on manuscript preparation if the
proposal is accepted. The submission of completed
articles without prior consultation is strongly discouraged. Authors should note that
all
major articles in TIG are peer reviewed and publication cannot be guaranteed.
Reviews form the foundation of each monthly
issue. These articles, invited from leading
researchers in the field, summarize and assess recent and important developments. The Opinion
section is a forum for new ideas, and Research focus articles discuss recent publications and put them into a broader context. Genome
Analysis articles include original observations concerning the function, organization and evolution of genomes. All sequences used in
the analysis must be available through GenBank.
Clear graphics and attractive presentation characterise the Trends style, making
the most complex ideas and research results easily accessible.
