Description
Evolve is an online learning solution that is
designed to work in conjunction with specific textbooks from Elsevier and provide Internet-based course content that reinforces and expands
on the concepts delivered in the classroom. There are three types of online products available through Evolve - Learning Resources, Course
Management Systems, and Online Courses.
Evolve Learning Resources
Evolve Learning Resources are available for both students
and instructors. Depending on the corresponding textbook and the user-type, the Learning Resources can include WebLinks, Tip Sheets,
Checklists, Test Banks, PowerPoint Slides, Image Collections, Instructor's Manuals, Teaching Tips, FAQs, and more.
Evolve Course
Management System
The Evolve Course Management System (CMS) is available to instructors upon adoption of a core textbook and provides
all the Evolve Learning Resources available for the corresponding textbook along with access to a comprehensive suite of communication
and organization tools. These tools include discussion boards, e-mail, chat rooms, calendars, address books, task organizers, and more.
Each instructor has a unique course and exclusive access to course management tools that allow them to customize course content, build
online tests, create assignments, enter grades, post announcements, manage student groups, and much more.
Evolve Online Courses
Evolve Online Courses are the most useful and valuable product because they contain a rich offering of multimedia resources combined
with professional instructional design that targets specific user learning styles. Most courses supplement an existing Elsevier textbook
and provide a comprehensive blended approach to learning.
Online courses can include self-contained interactive exercises, illustrations,
photographs, animation modules with narration, vocabulary, spelling and pronunciation aids; videos, slide shows, assessment questions
of various formats, such as multiple choice, true/false, matching, and fill-in-the-blank. Hyperlinks within the content also allow students
to easily jump to more information on a particular term or topic.
As with the Evolve Course Management System, instructors have
a unique course and exclusive access to course management tools that allow them to customize course content, build online tests, create
assignments, enter grades, post announcements, manage student groups, and much more. The seamless integration between content and tools
