Description
Monographs and edited volumes published in this series cover a wide range of topics dealing with all aspects of human factors in the applications of information technology. Topics range from theoretical monographs on the cognitive processes involved in human-computer interaction to volumes describing research on human factors considerations in highly automated machine tools. Another major focus of the series is theoretical and applied research on the computer support of cooperative work. Theoretical monographs will present a full range of perspectives from symbolic models i.e. production system models, to neural net simulations of cognitive processes involved in the successful utilization of all types of information technology. Particular attention is paid to the presentations of theoretical results that have explicit implications for the design of actual systems. Also presented is detailed analysis of the implementation of systems including analyses of the design and actual use of the systems. The Series Editors welcome detailed proposals for new volumes in the series.
