About the Journal Child Abuse & Neglect is the official Publication of the International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. The Journal provides an international, multidisciplinary forum on all aspects of child abuse and neglect, with special emphasis on prevention and treatment; the scope extends further to all those aspects of life which either favor or hinder child development. While contributions will primarily be from the fields of psychology, psychiatry, social work, medicine, nursing, law enforcement, legislature, education, and anthropology, the Journal encourages the concerned lay individual and child-oriented advocate organizations to contribute.
The Editors in Chief of Psychology of Sport and Exercise have named editorial board members Natalia Stambulova (Halmstad University College, Halmstad, Sweden) and Symeon Vlachopoulos (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Serres, Greece) as the 2011 Reviewers of the Year in recognition for their outstanding work as reviewers.
This new award will be bestowed to two reviewers on an annual basis. Winners will be chosen from all PSE reviewers (not necessarily editorial board members), generally one in the category of sports psychology and the other from exercise psychology. The criteria are excellent quality of reviews, high volume of reviews, and quick turnaround (almost always before the due date). Award winners will be announced on the Journal’s homepage in January of each year and will receive a signed certificate by post.

"An invited essay looking at three trials in developing countries addressing the two major barriers which impede the path between treatments and access: the lack of skilled human resources and the acceptability of treatments across cultures. The programs synthesized in this essay all demonstrated significant benefits in recovery rates when compared with usual care, demonstrating the effectiveness of the approach. The implications for these experiences to improving access to psychological treatments in the global context are also discussed."
