ANNOUNCEMENT: New Editor-in-Chief

In the past few months, Jim Heath has been handing over his duties as Editor-in-Chief to Christopher Gordon. The handover is now complete, and therefore the new team of Editors-in-Chief of Journal of Thermal Biology consists now of Ken Bowler and Christopher Gordon.

Christopher Gordon is a Research Physiologist with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He received his B.S. in biology in 1975 and M.S. in Zoology in 1977 from the University of Idaho under the mentorship of Professor J. Homer Ferguson. He received his Ph.D in physiology from the University of Illinois in 1980 under the mentorship of Professor James E. Heath. His research over the past three decades has focused on environmental insults and the response of the thermoregulatory system. He has published over 170 papers on the effects of microwave radiation, chemical toxicants, drugs, and other agents on thermoregulation in laboratory rodents and other species. Chris has also authored two books and several review articles on various topics of thermoregulation and toxicology. He is a member of the American Physiological Society, Society of Toxicology, and American Association of Laboratory Animal Science.

He has been a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Thermal Biology since 1996.
