Virtual Special Issue: Archaeology Altmetrics

To help celebrate International Archaeology Day, we are proud to present the Archaeology Altmetrics Virtual Special Issue.

Altmetrics are a relatively new way of judging the impact of an article; they measure the amount of online chatter, including the number of news items, blog stories and social media postings.

The following articles had the highest Altmetric scores from altmetric.com for Elsevier's Archaeology journals in the past year.*

These papers are now available for free until 16 January 2014.
