Tetrahedron prize 2008 awarded to professor SIR LARRY E. OVERMAN
The Executive Board of Editors and Elsevier, the Publisher of Tetrahedron Publications, are delighted to announce that the Tetrahedron Prize for Creativity in Organic Chemistry 2008 has been awarded to Professor Larry E. Overman of the University of California at Irvine, CA.
Professor Larry E. Overman has been awarded the Tetrahedron Prize in recognition of his creative and innovative contributions in reaction design, notably the invention of cationic cyclization reactions such as the aza-Cope-Mannich reaction.
The Tetrahedron Prize will be presented to Professor Larry E. Overman at the Fall 2009 ACS Meeting in Washington, DC. The date for the Prize Symposium and presentation of the Award is Monday, 17 August 2009.
