Biochemical Engineering Journal Young Investigator Award
The Biochemical Engineering Journal Young Investigator Award recognizes outstanding excellence in research and practice contributed to the field of biochemical engineering by a young community member. Candidates must be less than 41 years of age by the nomination deadline.
The Young Investigator Award is presented on an annual basis at either the Annual AIChE meeting in conjunction with the Food, Pharmaceutical and Bioengineering (FPBE) Division (even years) or ECI’s Biochemical and Molecular Engineering Conferences (odd years).
The award consists of a cash prize of 2,500 U.S. Dollars and a plaque presented at the appropriate conference, at which the award recipient presents a keynote lecture. Award recipients are also invited to compose a review article for the Biochemical Engineering Journal.
P.V. Danckwerts Memorial Lecture
The P.V. Danckwerts Memorial Lecture was established in 1985 to honor Prof. Peter V. Danckwerts as a leading scholar in the field of chemical engineering and for his contributions as an Executive Editor of Chemical Engineering Science, the second Shell Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Cambridge, and past president of IChemE. The Danckwerts Lecture is co-sponsored by Chemical Engineering Science, IChemE, AIChE, and EFCE, and is held in alternating years at the ECCE and AIChE meeting.
