PSYCHIATRY (SECTION 32 EMBASE)
Psychiatry (Section 32 EMBASE)Excerpta Medica Abstract Journal

Description

This journal aims to provide its readers with a swift, yet complete, current awareness service. This is achieved both by the scope and structure of the journal, key features of which are:-

• Careful selection of relevant abstracts (and other bibliographic data) from the latest issues of 4,000 leading international biomedical journals.

• The arrangement, within each issue, of abstracts into separate chapters devoted to a specific topic. The journal covers all aspects of medical psychology and psychiatry, and includes the psychological aspects of addiction, alcoholism, sexual behaviour and suicide. Mental deficiency and the clinical use or abuse of psychotropic or psychomimetic agents are also included in the coverage. The journal does not cover the neurophysiology of mental processes (unless some psychiatric disorder is involved), normal psychology or experimental psychology in animals. Additional information can be found in Section 40: Drug Dependence, Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

• Detailed author and keyword indexes to allow the reader to locate items of special interest.
