Description
As of 2007, title changed to Fungal Biology Reviews

Mycologist is a full-colour general interest publication which publishes material of interest to both specialists and non-professionals in mycology. Providing a unique outlet for news of international activity and a forum for the exchange of views, Mycologist aims to advance the study of mycology at all levels; to educate mycologists at all stages of knowledge; and to forge links between all mycological societies. Combining an attractive magazine format with the highest quality half-tone reproduction and editorial standards, Mycologist contains a broad range of articles suitable for beginners, enthusiastic amateurs and professional scientists. Topics include profiles of fungi, 'Myconews' and 'Mycological Dispatches', pieces on mycotechnology and molecular mycology, gastronomy, selected foray reports, biographical accounts of individuals and organisations, and regular book reviews. Mycologist is also accredited with the International Association for Plant Taxonomy for the purpose of registration of new names of fungi.
