Description As of 2006, no longer published by Elsevier
The International Journal of Transport Management (IJTM) is dedicated to serving
researchers and practitioners focusing on the management and analysis of transportation systems and services, their contributions to
society, and their impacts on it.
Like the global economy itself, transportation has evolved into a densely complex, interdependent,
technology-oriented enterprise. It comprises a significant fraction of global economic output and consumes a large share of the world's
energy and natural resources.
This new journal takes a multidisciplinary approach to a subject traditionally confined to civil engineering
and business disciplines. It embraces the full range of issues and concerns associated with managing the world's intricate network of
transportation facilities and services.
IJTM will publish papers of academic rigour but of style and content accessible and relevant
to practising transport professionals as well as to academic researchers. IJTM serves as an official journal of Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (UK)(CILT(UK). 15/9
