Gerhard Kammerlander (DGKP-graduated nurse, MBA, CWM®-Certified-WoundManager) is the CEO of the Academy-CWM® (Certified Wound Management) in Embrach/Zurich, Switzerland and CEO of the WCC® (Wound Competence Center) in Linz, Austria. He holds a Master of Business Administration of the Johannes Keppler University in Linz, Austria and a certificate for CWM®-Certified Wound Manager of the Austrian Academy of Health and Nursing Association, National Association of Styria.
Gerhard Kammerlander has produced more than 90 papers in more than 5 scholarly medical journals and was (co-)author of over five books. He has led more than 30 multi-center clinical observational studies on wound management up to this day. He is the founder of AWA and SAfW and the owner and founder of the Academy-CWM®/Switzerland and the WCC® in Linz/Austria. He was Vice-president of the German (DGfW), Austrian (AWA) and Swiss Wound Association (SAfW) from 1995 up to 1999.
Gerhard Kammerlander is the developer of the training concept for CWM®-CertifiedWoundManager and the WoundStandard concept Pellegrinus®. Likewise, the concept of wound treatment centers WC®, WCC® (ISO 9001:2008 based) was also developed by him. This standard was implemented into more than 40 institutions in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. He is responsible for the medical design, as well as the regular training and supervision (medical and quality management system) of the gvw WC®-Wound centers in Germany and other WC® and WCC® projects in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
