Pathophysiology is a peer-reviewed international English language which address the etiology, development, and elimination of pathological processes. Contributions on the basic mechanisms underlying these processes, model systems and interdisciplinary approaches are strongly encouraged.
An international editorial board welcomes contributions covering the following areas:
• General pathophysiological processes: inflammation, infection, hypoxia, stress, shock, pain, disregulation
• Cellular and molecular pathophysiology
• Neuroscience
• Heart and circulation
• Respiratory system
• Renal, fluid and electrolyte pathophysiology
• Gastrointestinal and hepatic system
• Endocrine system
• Metabolic disorders
• Blood system
