Les Schwab, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinician Development for Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. In these roles, Schwab leads the recruitment, performance management, as well as career and leadership development for the clinical staff, and directs leadership teams to support change initiatives and innovation in advanced medical homes, pay for performance, chronic disease management, primary care, payment reform, and quality. Previously, he served as Section Chief, Ambulatory Care at the Brockton and West Roxbury VA Medical Centers, and managing partner at Concord Hillside Medical Associates. In addition, he also served as Medical Director for Emerson Hospital Hospice. Schwab received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University and his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine.
