Leah Marcotte, M.D. is a resident physician in Internal Medicine, Primary Care at the University of Washington. Formerly, she worked on the Meaningful Use team in the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. There, she focused on the Stage 2 EHR Incentives Program policy-making process and health IT applications to improve care transitions and patient safety. She also spent a short time in France analyzing applicability of the U.S. Value-Based Purchasing program to France's health system. Her current interests are in primary care innovation and payment reform. She received her B.A. and M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
