Bernard Rosof, MD, is the CEO of the Quality HealthCare Consultants Advisory Group, LLC and Professor of Medicine at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. In addition, he is Chair of the Board of Directors of Huntington Hospital, a member of the Board of Directors of the National Quality Foundation (NQF), Co-Chair of the NQF's National Priorities Partnership, and Chair of the Physician Advisory Committee for United Health Group. In these roles, Rosof has led initiatives to improve quality, patient safety, and performance. As Chair of the Physician Consortium for Performance Improvement convened by the AMA, Rosof leads efforts in developing, testing and implementing evidence-based performance measures for use at the point of care. He is Editor-in-Chief of Current Clinical Practice and is a member of the Editorial Board of the American Journal of Medical Quality. For his outstanding leadership, dedication and service, he has received the Laureate Award from the American College of Physicians, the 2012 Stengel Award, and the Theodore Roosevelt Award for Distinguished Community Service. He has also received the 2011 Founders Award presented by the American College of Medical Quality in recognition of his national leadership and exceptional ability to foster and support healthcare quality improvement. Rosof received his medical degree from New York University.
