Neuf fois par an, la revue fait le point sur les travaux de recherche clinique, paraclinique ou fondamentale appliqués à la médecine de rééducation et de réadaptation dans les domaines de la neurologie, de l'appareil locomoteur, de la pathologie cardiovasculaire et respiratoire, et des fonctions sphinctériennes. Elle rend compte des travaux de spécialités complémentaires au travers d'articles de synthèse, d'articles originaux susceptibles d'innover ou de développer des techniques ou des méthodes de réadaptation et de rééducation ainsi que sur les perspectives d'aide aux personnes handicapées.

Formely known as Annales de Réadaptation et de Médecine Physique, Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicineis the Official Journal of the French Society oh rehabilitation (Société Française de Médecine Physique et de Rédaptation -SOFMER), published in english and french. The Journal publishes original peer-reviewed clinical and research articles, epidemiological studies, new methodological clinical approaches, review articles, editorials and the guidelines edited by the French Society of rehabilitation. Are mainly concerned : methods of evaluation of motor, sensory, cognitive and visceral impairments ; functional disabilities ; handicaps in adult and children ; processes of rehabilitation in orthopaedic, rhumatological, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary and urological diseases.
