African Journal of Urology
The African Journal of Urology (AFJU) was first published in 1995 and is the official journal of the Pan African Urological Surgeons' Association (PAUSA), whose members represent a total of 54 countries in the 6 regions of Africa- West, East, South, North, Central and North East Africa.
The journal publishes articles in English and French, to include all aspects of urological practice in Anglophone as well as Francophone countries.
The African Journal of Urology is a peer- reviewed journal that welcomes original articles from any country in the world especially from Africa.The African Journal of Urology covers the whole scope of urology as well as the related basic sciences. In allignment with the objectives of PAUSA, it has a special concern with urologic diseases and problems related to Africa. The scope of the AFJU includes, urinary tract related oncology, endourology, female and reconstructive urology, genitourinary medicine, andrology, uro-pharmacology, uro-radiology, and voiding dysfunctions.
The Journal publishes commissioned reviews, high quality original research, editorial comments, experimental urological research, papers on urological techniques, letters and informative case reports.
The goals of the journal are to promote publication of studies relevant to Africa to assist in the transfer of knowledge- among African urologists and international urologists and experts, and to initiate and support research projects emanating from urology practice all over Africa.
